40 weeks 1 day preggo

...STILL WAITING. And I though I would have it Wednesday after my doc appointment...HA HA!! This baby just does not want to come out. As of Tuesday's dr appt I was still at 2cm and 25% effaced. No change...how frusterating.

Dr. Cox sent me to have an ultrasound on Wednesday to check my fluid level. He was concerned that I have been shrinking in size and wants to make sure everything is still ok. The ultrasound went well. Baby looks good and is engaged in my pelvis. The only concern I have is that apparently baby has a big head. Baby's head measured 40 weeks, while everything else measured 38 weeks...making babies overall weight estimate at 7 lbs. 12 oz....and that was last Wednesday. Little worried about that natural childbirth thing with a big head and big baby. I am going to go run some stairs today before my dr appt and hope that I have made progress. If I haven't made any progress, I am sure we will be discussing induction. I will let you know.

39 weeks preggo

Down to the wire!!!! At my 37 week dr appointment I was not dialated at all and my cervix was still posterior. At 38 weeks, I was 1-2 cm's dialated and 25% effaced. Dr. Cox stripped my membranes and sent me on my way. I lost my plug the following day and started having contractions 15-20 minutes apart. The contractions lasted at that frequency for a day and then died down after I finally got some rest. I am still having contractions and am very miserable. It is Saturday and am definately wondering when I am going to have this baby. I think if I do not have it by next Tuesday, that I will be having it Wednesday after Dr. Cox strips my membranes again. Well, I am off to play the waiting game.
