The Flight Called TIME!

My, my, where does the time go. I just noticed that I had not posted a blog update in over a month. So I thought that I would give a quick update to all the busyness we have been doing. OK, so it has been since right before Halloween that I posted....and I don't even have the pics from Halloween up yet. Am I a slacker or what? Don't answer that.

Emma has been growing like a weed. I can't believe she is already 6 months old. She is rolling over, sitting up and eating now. We took her to the doctor for her check up last week. She grew another 3 inches which put her off the "charts" for height and she weighed in at just above 15 pounds. She has finally put on some fat rolls in the last few months and has the cutest round, firm cheeks - which are undeniably too fun to kiss over and over and over and.......you get the idea! Her eyes are starting to change color. Right now they are a mix of green and brown and grey. Still waiting to see the final result.

Kylee lost her other front tooth. So now she can officially say that all she wants for Christmas is her two front teeth! She has also been tormenting me for months to let her cut her hair short in an a-line cut. I think she is adorable with long hair, but I guess it is not my hair to decide....so she is getting her hair cut tomorrow. I will post the new do Friday.

Cayden has been perfecting his torturing techniques on Emma and refining his "drive my parents" nuts skills. He is the same energetic, happy boy that we love! His newest sayings are "you're goin' down" from the ninja turtles and calling everybody a "dirtbag". He definitely creatively expresses himself. I think I need to monitor some of the cartoon's he is watching.

Riley is supposed to be testing for his yellow belt next month and is excited his Dad is finally going to let him advance. We got to go watch him while we were in Poci for Thanksgiving and he was one of the best looking dudes in his class. He has great form and is very quiet and respectful. Even though Joey still says he can kick his trash with Jiu Jitsu!

Joey has decided to go to Weber State and get a degree in Drafting Engineering. Funny thing is it is the original degree he wanted to get when he started this journey and everyone kept talking him out of it. He is very excited and determined to finish so much so that he is studying hard for the math placement test so that he does not have to spend an
entire year just taking the math classes that he needs. Good luck sweetie!

Joey's sister Wendi and her family were sealed in
the Idaho Falls temple on Black Friday. It was a wonderful day for them and we were glad we could be there with them. It has been so special to watch them grow as a family and we hope the best for them. Here is a picture of their new eternal family that I took outside the temple.

Fall Pics

Here are some of the pics I took of the kids Saturday. Some of them turned out cute, but I didn't get any good ones of Emma or Riley alone. My camera ran out of batteries during the first set of pictures, ugh! I had meant to buy more at Walmart earlier in the day, but you know me, I totally forgot. Lucky for me, I have a wonderful husband than ran down the street to a convenience store and bought me some. Have I mentioned that I just love him. Especially for putting up with his air-headed wife!

The girls dresses ended up turning out cute for the pics. I was worried about the bright pink. They are too cute for their own good.

This picture is the only one out of a dozen of this pose that Cayden was actually looking at the camera and looking like a normal boy! Can't get that one to hold still for two seconds unless he is being funny.

Ok, never mind....here is a slide show of the pics.

Kylee's B-Day

Today was Kylee's B-Day. HAPPY BIRTHDAY Kylee!!! She turned 7 today. Nannio and Papa came down to be with her on her birthday. We actually celebrated her birthday yesterday because we had dinner with a neighbor today. Yesterday was a full and crazy day. I had leadersip training at 8am, the kids had a practice for their primary program at 9am. Riley went and "hung out" with a new friend after the practice. We took the kids and got their halloween costumes and then came home and got the ready to take some family pics (I'll post those in a seperate post later). Then we came back home and made Kylee's birthday dinner. She requested hot dogs and mac and cheese for her dinner. We had brats, mac and cheese and chips...easiest birthday dinner I ever had. She also requested to have a halloween cake so Joey made her a ghost cake with a pumpkin that said "Happy Boo-th Day". He is so much more creative than I am. It was cute. We bought Kylee the skates she has been asking for for a year and a half. She also got a scripture tote, a Book of Mormon game, and a new coat and gloves.

Riley's Baptism

Riley was baptized on Oct. 10th in Pocatello, Idaho. All of his family was there to support him. His great grandpa Mo baptized him (that is also who blessed him as a baby). Not too many people these days can say their great grandpa baptized them. I hope that he will find that to be a special memory. Joey confirmed him after the baptism and then we had a luncheon at the church. We are so proud of Riley and his decision to be baptized and his determination to keep at it and me until he got his Dad's permission. Way to go bud, we love you. Here are some of the pics. Of coarse out of all the pictures that were taken, the ones that someone else took of our little family did not turn out. I guess that is what you get for letting someone use your camera that has not ever used it.

What a handsome dude!

Riley's B-Day

We celebrated Riley's birthday on Sunday Sep. 13th. His actual b-day was Tuesday Sep.15th. Riley requested turkey for his dinner. So Joey deep fried a turkey and it was delicous. Riley got his baptism scriptures, a journal and a wave board for his b-day.

Riley's cake. So I used all the candles on Joey's cake on Friday and forgot to buy more for Riley's. The pour kid ended up with tea lights on his cake, but he is such a sport that he didn't even care.

Joey's B-Day

Joey's b-day was Sep. 11th. We had some friends over to celebrate. Joey chose to have italian roast with pesto risotto for his dinner. It was marvelous of coarse! Joey got a new shirt, a new book 'Jesus the Christ' and a survival knife.

Stuck in a Rut

So Joey had a pretty rough day on Monday. He had to take Emma to the doctor without me cause I was in close week. They were waiting in the waiting room for quite some time. Cayden was playing on the chairs and goofing off. Joey told Cayden to be ready to go back because the nurse would be coming to get them soon. He looked over at Cayden and his head was in the hole in the middle of the chair...sure enough it was stuck. He tried getting it out with no avail...and then or coarse, the nurse called their name. So Joey is trying frantically to get Cayden's head out and the nurse asks him if he will be much longer (where's some compassion). Joey ended up having to give up his turn with the doctor, got a screw driver from the office gals and proceeded to take the chair completely apart to get Cayden's head out. You gotta love that kid. And to make matters worse Joey ended up being late to pick Kylee up from school and Kylee ended up walking home and staying with a neighbor until Joey was done at the doctor's office.

All in all, sounds like an exciting day.

FALL is here....

It's been awhile since I posted and I know I have lots to update. Joey and Riley both had their birthday's in September. I will post a seperate entry for both this weekend with pictures. Riley's dad gave his permission for Riley to be baptized and we are planning on his baptism being Oct. 10th in Pocatello. I am very excited for him despite all the drama his father is creating over it. The weather has turned cold this week. We went from 85 degrees to 50 degrees in one week....bbbrrrrrr. I am so not ready for the cold weather yet. I do not want to wear a coat yet or give up my flip flops and sandals. I am planning on taking pictures of the kids this month and hope to have some good weather for it when Riley is here. I got the girls matching little dresses...they are pretty stinkin cute. I can't wait to see what they look like in them.

More to come....

Emma Scrapbook pages....

Here is a layout I did of Emma's three month pictures. It was my first CAF-E challenge that I did and posted in digitalscrapbookplace's gallery. I'm getting better, but still have so much to learn.

Photobucket

I just finished this layout....LOVE it. This is the first page that has been totally my own idea. All my other pages were inspired by other pages I had seen. I designed this one last night while I was trying to go to sleep. I am very happy with it. It helps that the subject is so adorable.
