Papa Parker's 60th B-Day Party

Joey's dad had his 60th birthday on August 16th. We had a supposed surprise birthday party for him at the park on Saturday. Joey spilled the beans about the party thought. Bless his little heart....he just can't keep a secret when it comes to surprises or presents. =)

All the kids and grandkids were there to tell him how old he was. It was great to see everyone and play for awhile. It was really windy which cut things short a bit though.

I will update with pics tomorrow. I forgot and left them on the other computer.

OK, it has been awhile, but here are some of the pics.

Sunday Picnic

Last Sunday we went and had a picnic in the canyon above the Bountiful temple with a few friends. We had a simple dinner of sandwiches, chips and veggies. Then we took the kids for a short hike up the trail. Joey spotted two dear just up the hill from us.

Cayden spent most of the hike back down looking back and forth to each side of the trail under his bucket hat. I am surprised he did not get dizzy and fall down. I asked him once what he was doing and he turned around, put his figure to his lips and said "shhhh mom, I am looking for deer and mooses". Too cute my brave white hunter is. I wish I would have gotten a picture of it.

After our hike we took the kids to the Bountiful Temple grounds to walk around. Cayden as always was being cute and wanted his picture taken everywhere. Kylee was too busy running around with Brianna to stop and get her picture taken.

But we did manage a family picture.

We tried to take a picture of all the kids in front of the fountain but it was too dark and my camera was not cooperating. The picture of Moroni turned out pretty cool though.

And last but not least, here is a picture of the skyline at dusk.

BUSTED!

Joey went into the bedroom to get something and found Cayden entertaining himself with my makeup...getting ready to go hunt some buck I am sure. Or is that how he perceives what I look like with my makeup on? hmmmm. He was a little upset about getting caught I guess because he started crying before Joey took this wonderful picture and sent it to me on my cell phone. Isn't it nice to be connected and get to enjoy knowing what is going on when you are not around.

Never a dull moment with this one! We will keep him though, he is too entertaining.

Argh Matie!

Cayden has taken to being a pirate over the last few months and loves to run around the house saying "Argh Matie!". He says it so good and has this great face to go along with it. I just had to post a pic of his "cute", crooked facial expression that goes along with it. Enjoy Matie!

July 24th Weekend

Since I now live in Utah I get the 24th of July off as a holiday...woohoo!! I took the kids to Cherry Hill Friday afternoon while Joey and Riley went target shooting with the boys. When we got home we packed up and went to Idaho for a quick trip to visit the grandparents. We came home Saturday night just in time to watch the fireworks out the window. I tried to take some pictures of the fireworks but apparently my camera will not do dark nighttime pictures.

Cayden chillin' in the pool.

No I am not peeing in the pool mom!

Kylee posing for the camera. Ever the little model!

I love this picture. It actually looks like they are staying still for a minute and looking so lonely. I think they are missing their little friends in the neghborhood and hoping to find them somewhere in the pool.

what do we do now?

Cayden and Kylee frog jumping across the pool. Notice the frog in the bottom of the picture...probably thinking 'you're doing it all wrong, let me show you how it is done!'.

Clinton Days Parade

The Clinton City Parade was Saturday, July 18th after a week full of events. We only had to walk a block from our house to watch the parade. The little neighbor boy, Jackson (aka - our new adopted addition to the household!) wanted us to sit by him. He is a sweet little guy that is the same age as Cayden. The two play so cute together and it is great that Cayden has a friend to play with. I hope they can grow to be good friends as they get older.

We took the kids over to the carnival in the afternoon and then watched the fireworks later that night, but forgot the camera.

Cayden, Kylee and Jackson dancing to the music that the DJ was playing. I do not know what the name of the song was, but it was basically patterned after the hockey pockey.

I think the first half of the parade was made up of all the small cities fire departments in the area. There was ALOT of fire trucks and ambulances and it was VERY loud. Grandma, Cayden and Jackson thought it was too loud because they were all covering their ears. LOL.

There was a guy walking in the parade with his dog. Jackson, not being the least bit shy, went up to the guy and asked him if he could pet the dog. We were completely shocked when Cayden went and petted the dog too. There may be hope for the kid yet to overcome his fear of dogs.

Funny story about the water bottle that Kylee is holding. One of the cars driving in the parade was throwing them out at the audience. Kylee and Jackson did not get one as it drove by and decided they should have one so they both ran up to the car and asked for one. My little girl has definately overcome her shyness.

This was one of the last floats in the parade. I thought it was pretty cool.

And last, but definatley not least is little Emma taking a relaxing siesta in the stroller.

Emma'sBlessing

Emma was blessed by her Daddy on June 28, 2009. We had lots of family and friends come and share in the day with us. It was great to be supported. After the blessing we all went to the park and had lunch and let the kids play. It was a beautiful day and not too hot. The menu included sloppy joe's, macaroni shrimp salad, spagetti salad, cantalope and brownies.

Family and friends that came to share in the day was Nannio and Papa, Nana, Grandma and Grandpa Muir, John and DaNae (&family), Jason and Heather (&family), Paul Chatterton, Hazen Sedgewick, Brian and Jennifer Bowler (&family). We greatly missed everyone else that was not able to make it.

I took pictures of Emma after everyone left and I think she is a beautiful angel...definately not biased though! =P I also made some story boards of the day for her.

Hill Airforce Air Show 2009

Kylee's BIG Bike

Once Kylee learned to ride the bike she insisted that she move up to her big bike right away. She started riding her big bike two days after she learned and begged me to take new pictures on her BIG bike so I could update the blog to make sure everyone saw her on her big bike...too funny. So here is Kylee on her "BIG" bike, standing up while she rides! Isn't she awesome.
